Amazon Prime Video Changes Streaming Rules in India, Limits TV Usage to Two Devices
Starting January 2025, Amazon Prime members in India will face new restrictions on Prime Video usage. The company announced that while streaming will still be permitted on up to five devices, only two of those devices can be televisions.
This change in policy means that households with more than two TVs will need to purchase an additional Prime membership to continue watching on all their devices.
Amazon has stated that this change is aimed at ensuring fair usage of the service. However, it is likely to be met with some resistance from customers who are accustomed to sharing their Prime membership across multiple TVs.
Amazon has not yet released any further details about the new policy, but it is expected to come into effect in January 2025.
Customers can manage their registered devices on the Prime Video settings page.
